WE ARE LOOKING TO FILL A NEW VACANCY TO SUPPORT DISEASE AND ABIOTIC RESISTANCE BREEDING POLICY FOR OUR EUROPEAN OPERATIONS.
Responsibilities: Testing of cereal breeding and research material, organisation of marker assisted selection. Collection, identification and characterisation of field pathogens. Day-to-day management of pre-breeding crossing, scoring of field trials and support other service function teams. Responsible for various in-house research projects.
Post requires: Good organisational and communication skills, flexibility, attention to detail, ability to prioritise.
Position: Would suit an individual with Plant Science related degree or equivalent. Knowledge of laboratory techniques and field work required, with some experience of working with plants preferable. Full training will be provided.
The position at our Ickleton site is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week plus additional hours at seasonal peaks of the year. Competitive salary & benefits.
