SEED PLANT OPERATOR
WE ARE LOOKING TO FILL A NEW VACANCY IN OUR SEEDS SUPPLY TEAM.
Founded in 1919 and established in all major European agricultural regions, RAGT Seeds researches, produces and sells seeds including wheat, barley, oilseed rape, oats, forage grass and soil health crops.
Innovation is vital to us, that’s why we spend over 18% of our turnover in research, supporting 18 subsidiaries, 17 research stations, 300 000 experimental plots, 4 multi-species laboratories. Today, more than 800 people are working in the RAGT Seeds group, of which 280 are dedicated to research.
RAGT Seeds UK is based at Ickleton, Essex and headquartered in Rodez, France.
Responsibilities: To operate the seed intake, cleaning, treating, packing and handling equipment as necessary to produce high quality pre-basic and basic seed and commercial seed and to store and despatch seed as required.
Post requires: Good communication skills, ability to be a team player, flexibility, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Position: Would suit an individual with:
minimum GCSE or equivalent pass in Maths and English.
Knowledge of seed processing plants and experience in use of seed cleaning plants is essential,
full driving licence and forklift licence.
PA11 and seed sampling certificates preferred.
Full training will be provided.
The position: is at our Ickleton site and is a permanent, full-time position, working 37.0 hours per week. There will be a requirement to work additional overtime hours worked during peak periods.
